Toast of Tampa

Directions to our rehearsal hall, Masque Community Theatre, 8825 56th Street North, Temple Terrace. Our rehearsal hall is in an old TJ Maxx building at the southern end of the shopping center on the southeast corner of 56th Street and Busch Blvd. It is south of the Sweet Bay Store that anchors that shopping center. Chicago Ave. is at the southern end of the shopping center and right next to our new rehearsal hall.

From the North, coming south on 1-75:

Get off at the Fowler exit, go West on Fowler to 56th Street. Turn left (south) on 56th Street and follow until you cross Busch Blvd. The Masque is on the left at the southern end of the shopping center on your left. It's just south of the Sweet Bay Store. You can turn left on Chicago then make an immediate left into the parking lot. You made it!

From the South, coming north on 1-75:

Get off at 1-4, go west towards Tampa. Get off 1-4 at the first exit, Hillsborough Avenue (US 92). Follow Hillsborough Avenue going west to 56th Street. Turn right (north) on 56th Street. Go a little better than 2 miles, crossing Sligh Ave and the Hillsborough River. Turn right on Chicago Ave. and an immediate left into the parking lot of the shopping center. You're there! If you don't want to get off at 1-4, you can continue north to the Fowler exit and follow the directions above.

From the west (¡.e. northern Pinellas):

Take Tampa Road east towards Tampa. Turn left on Forrest Lakes Blvd. which becomes Linebaugh when it gets into Hillsborough County. Follow Linebaugh all the way to Gunn Highway (just before Dale Mabry). Turn right on Gunn Highway. Once you go under Dale Mabry, Gunn Highway becomes Busch Blvd. continue going east on Busch Blvd. all the way to 56th Street. Take a right on 56th Street (south) and the shopping center containing the Masque is on your left. It's just south of Sweet Bay. You can go to Chicago Ave., take a left and then an immediate left into the parking lot. You made it!

From the southwest (Le. southern Pinellas):

You have two main choices to go east across Tampa: Hillsborough Avenue or Busch Blvd. The following directions take you across Busch Blvd. 1-275 North across the Howard Frankland Bridge, take the second exit marked for the airport and the Veteran's Expressway and follow it to the Veteran's Expressway. Get on the Veterans Expressway and get off at Anderson Road (just as if you were going to the ICC where we used to rehearse.) Take a left on Anderson then turn right (east) on Linebaugh. Follow Linebaugh all the way to Gunn Highway (just before Dale Mabry.) Turn right on Gunn Highway. Once you go under Dale Mabry Gunn Highway becomes Busch Blvd. Continue going east on Busch Blvd. all the way to 56th Street. Turn right on 56th Street (south) and the shopping center containing the Masque is on your left. It's just south of the Sweet Bay Store. You can go to Chicago Ave., take a left and then an immediate left into the parking lot. You're there!

If you prefer, you can go across Hillsborough by doing the following: 1-275 North across the Howard Frankland Bridge, take the second exit marked for the airport and the Veteran's Expressway. Go toward the Veteran's Expressway but instead of getting on the Veteran's, stay in the farthest right lane. It becomes a right turn only lane for Hillsborough Avenue. Turn right (east) on Hillsborough Avenue and follow it all the way to 56th Street (this is around 9 miles.) Turn left (north) on 56th Street. Go a little better than 2 miles, crossing Sligh Ave. and the Hillsborough River. Turn right on Chicago Ave. and an immediate left into the parking lot of the shopping center. You're there!

From the East (Le. on 1-4):

Follow 1-4 west towards Tampa. Get off at the Hillsborough Ave. (US 92) exit (the first one after 1-75 intersection) and follow it to Hillsborough Ave. heading west. Follow Hillsborough Ave. to 56th Street. Turn right (north) on 56th Street and follow it across Sligh Ave., across the Hillsborough River, to Chicago Ave. Turn right (east) on Chicago Ave. and an immediate left into the parking lot of the shopping center. You made it!
